Caliper

Terms of Use

Effective August 25, 2026

These terms govern your use of Caliper, a macOS application published by Fig Studio LLC ("we", "us"). By purchasing or using the app, you agree to them. Your purchase is otherwise subject to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, and nothing here reduces any rights you have under it or under applicable consumer law.

License

You are granted a personal, non-transferable license to use Caliper on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. We keep ownership of the software.

Accuracy

Caliper performs arithmetic, unit conversion, and area and volume calculation using published, fixed conversion factors. We take accuracy seriously, but we do not warrant that every result is free of error, and results are provided for general reference. Do not rely on the app as your sole check for engineering, medical, financial, or other safety-critical calculations — verify independently where a mistake would matter.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Changes

We may update the app or these terms; material changes to the terms will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your place of residence mandatorily applies.
