Caliper is a menu bar calculator and unit converter for macOS, published by Fig Studio LLC. This policy is short because the app's data practices are short.
Caliper collects no data. The application:
- collects no personal information and requires no account;
- makes no network connections of any kind — it runs inside the macOS App Sandbox with no network entitlement, so it is technically incapable of transmitting anything;
- contains no analytics, telemetry, advertising, or third-party code;
- stores your recent calculation history (the last ten entries) locally on your Mac, in the app's own preferences. It never leaves your machine, and deleting the app deletes it.
When you copy a result, it is placed on the macOS clipboard by your explicit action, exactly as with any other application.
Apple provides us with aggregate, anonymized App Store statistics (downloads, sales). Those are governed by Apple's privacy policy, and none of them identify you to us.
If this policy ever changes, the change will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
